SELECTION NOTIFICATION FOR ADMISSION OF STUDENTS INTO IV CLASS AT

A.P.SPORTS SCHOOL FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2012-13.

 

 

The Andhra Pradesh Sports School is conducting the selections for admission

of 40 students (20 Boys & 20 Girls) into 4th class during the current year i.e., 2012-13

in 3 tier system i.e, Mandal level, District level & State level to pick up the highly

potential young boys & girls in the age group of 8 years.

Accordingly, the following schedule is communicated.

Schedule:

Mandal level selections : Before 21.06.2012

District level selections : From 28.06.2012 to 05.07.2012

State level selections : From 19.07.2012 to 26.07.2012

Admissions : From 09.08.2012 to 31.08.2012

Mandal level

The Mandal level selections should be conducted at the Mandal head quarters

and the concerned MEO is in-charge of entire procedure. The children will be short

listed for District level selections on the basis of scoring the maximum points at Mandal

level on order of merit basis from the following tests as per procedure in vogue.

The test results should be announced by him and the call letter for the

District level selections will be issued by the MEO on completion of the selection of the

same day by not exceeding 15 boys & 15 girls. In case of tie in points, younger age

child will be given preference.

District Level Selection between 28.06.2012 to 05.07.2012

The District Level selections should be conducted at the District head quarters

concerned and the DSDO is in-charge of entire procedure. The children will be short

listed for State Level selections on the basis of scoring the maximum points at district

level in order of merit basis from the following tests.

The entire nine Motor quality tests along with medical & age verification tests may be conducted at District level. The test results should be announced by the DSDO and the call letter for the State level selection should be issued by the DSDO on completion of the selection on the same day by not exceeding 15 boys & 15 girls from the district for IV class. In case of a tie in points, the younger age child will be given preference.

The State Level selections will be conducted at A.P. Sports School premises as detailed below.

Tests to be conducted during State Level Selections.

(A) Anthropometric Height Weight

(B) Motor qualities 30 mtr. Flying Start Standing Broad Jump 6 x 10 mtrs. shuttle run Standing Vertical Jump Flexibility (Forward bend and reach) 1 kg. Medicine ball put 800 mtr. Run

(C) Medical Age Verification

Norms for Age verification:

If the student’s certificate age and doctor’s assessed age difference equals to one or more years he/she should be disqualified and his/her name will be omitted from merit list. Posture Bony abnormalities

Norms for Bony abnormalities: if the student have the below abnormalities

 Knock Knee (++)

 Flat Feet (+)

 Spinal disorders

 Heart problems

 Bow legs (++) & correlated with Battery Test

 Any other specific abnormalities

Then he/she should be disqualified and his/her name may be omitted from merit list.

Note:

Submission of different study certificates, different date of birth certificates and studying other than the class for which the selections are conducting will be treated as disqualification and omitted from preparation of merit list.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

Eligibility:

For Admission into 4th class, the child should be 8 years of age as on 31.08.2012 and born between 28.02.2004 to 01.03.2005 for participating in the Selections.

Documents to be produced:

a) Age & Study Certificate from present school

b) Birth Registration Certificate from Panchayathi/MRO/Municipality /Corporation

c) Ten latest passport size photographs.

d) Copies of progress reports of class III & IV .
